2020年8月8日工作室画廊将举办艺术家刘家冬的个展《地上的盼望》。本次展览是艺术家在工作室画廊呈现的第三次个展。此次展览上将为大家呈现艺术家全新的绘画和装置作品。
近一年多以来刘家冬集中在死亡、宗教、时间等一系列终极问题的思考上。本次展览的装置作品即是对这些命题的回应。而他的绘画作品则可以被理解成当下及时感官反应的结果。
“铅笔在纸上摩擦制造出一个莫名的团块，我通过感官体验感觉到它，随后我用材料把它改造成了人的脸，一会儿我又把它改造成莫名的团块。绘画就是人在地上的时候，进行的一种综合体验活动，也可以是一种通往自我实现的努力活动，任何动机都可以促成一张画。”

Studio Gallery is thrilled to present the solo exhibition "The Hope on Earth" by Liu Jiadong on August 8th, 2020. It will be the third solo exhibition by the artist in Studio Gallery. This exhibition will be focused on Liu’s most recent new paintings and installations.
Over the past years, Liu spent most of his time on pondering a series of ultimate questions about death, religion, and time. The installation works in this exhibition are responses to these propositions. While his paintings can be understood as the result of one's immediate sensory responses.
"The pencil rubbed on the paper to create an inexplicable clump. I felt it through sensory experience. Then I used materials to transform it into a human face, and after a while, I changed it into an inexplicable clump again. Painting is an activity about the comprehensive experience of people who are living on earth. It can also be an effort towards self-realization. Any motivations could contribute to a painting."

刘家冬，1985年生于四川成都。毕业于川音成都美术学院，现工作和生活于成都。
Liu Jiadong, b.1985, born in Chengdu. Graduated from, Chengdu Academy of Fine Arts. Currently works and lives in Chengdu, China.
